Music from the Jam Library

One of my primary musical pursuits of the last ten years is the jamming I've done with Tom Schroeder on guitar and Dave Herr on drums. In between all the other projects, we have always been doing this thing we called jamming. In fact, the first time we played together, on New Year's Eve 1985, we spent most of the night jamming, annoying most of the party guests. Jamming, for us, is free-form improvisation, no plan, just listen to what the other guys are doing and respond. Sometimes we groove in A, and sometimes we make noises like wooden puppets trying to escape from a metal box. The cover design above is by Tom Schroeder. The jam here is one of my favorites; there are hundreds of them.
